2nd Annual Website Giveaway

Personality Web Designs is dedicated to the growth of your business. In fact, this is our specialty. That's why Personality Web Designs is having its 2nd annual website giveaway. Please submit a 1000 word essay that should include your contact information, the amount of years in business (if applicable), your mission, and the purpose of your business and if you're not an established in entity but will like to be, please include the vision for your business. l started the Wellspring Women's Network because l noticed most women in Africa were so disadvantaged and marginalized. My goal\mission is to provide a platform through which women and girls can be empowered to make informed decisions to improve their socio- economic status. Help alleviate poverty and support economic development through empowerment programs. Offer hope to vulnerable girls and women by nurturing and caring through self help initiatives.

l also believe that the empowerment of women is essential to the movement toward sustainable development. My aim is to empower women and girls economically, emotionally, and socially and to provide a forum for educators, women in leadership positions, youth leaders, and community organizers to discuss issues affecting women and children. Through these efforts, we hope to ensure the socio-economic and human rights for all people to live a dignified life regardless of where they are from.

l decided to work with women and girls because women play a central role in the process of social and economic development of families, communities and nations, especially in Africa. They form the bulk of workers in the agricultural and commercial sector. They are home makers and are mainly responsible for the quality of nutrition, health, education, physical environment and even sometimes the economic stability of the family.

ln January 2010, l launched the 'Comfort Campaign' where we provide marginalized girls with Girls Comfort Kits.

ltems inside the kits include:

• 5 Packs of Sanitary Pads\Napkins
• 8 to10 in cases of the re-usable cloth pad (all styles welcome)
• 2 moisture barrier shields in cases of the cloth reusable pad (wrap to
attach to panties or ribbons holds pads in place)
• Cloth drawstring bag to contain kit
• 1 wash cloth
• 1 pair of underwear (No G-strings we prefer full panties)
• 1 bar of soap (unless shipment is cost prohibitive compared to local purchase
• 2 gallon Ziploc baggies for wet or soiled items or waterproof bags
• Educational insert featuring information on proper sanitary pad usage and HIV/AIDS Prevention
• Various other items as suitable or depending on donations


We also have 3 other projects namely (GEM) Girls Education Movement, we seek to enable the vulnerable realize their full potential as a leader by providing her with the means to achieve top-quality educational opportunities.

Through education, she will be empowered to conquer the many unique obstacles
faced by impoverished girls in Zimbabwe, thereby transforming herself, her
community, her continent, and the entire world. We provide scholarships of $25-50 per semester to primary school students and $30-60 per semester to high school students.

HealthCare

In Zimbabwe, as in many parts of Africa, the AIDS epidemic is aggravated by social and economic inequalities between men and women. Women and girls commonly face discrimination in terms of access to education, employment, credit, healthcare, land and inheritance. These factors can all put women in a position where they are particularly vulnerable to HIV infection. In Zimbabwe, around 59% of those living with HIV are female. Life expectancy for women is 34 years.

One of our main objectives is to help the rapidly increasing numbers of women widowed by AIDS as well as other groups of women and girls who have organized themselves to take care of the children orphaned by AIDS.

Micro Credit Scheme

We provide micro loans ranging from $25 to $300 to women and girls who want to start small businesses.
